Vitality Active Rewards for Kids (2 to 13 years old)
Imagine you could get your children to eat their broccoli (by choice!), put their screens down and engage in healthy activities? Well, now you can with Vitality Active Rewards for Kids. This programme offers kids age 2 to 13 age-appropriate rewards for doing healthy activities.

How does it work?
Parents, use the new Vitality Active Rewards for Kids programme to help encourage your children to engage in healthy activities. Simply activate the programme for your child underneath the family goals section on Vitality Active Rewards in the Discovery app. Your children will get rewarded for eating well, getting active, going for relevant health checks and reducing screen time. With reward partners such as Disney, Steam, Typo, Cotton On Kids and Exclusive Books, your kids will feel the excitement for getting healthier.
Vitality Active Rewards for Teens (14 to 17 years old)
Teens aged 14 to 17 now have their own access to the Vitality Active Rewards programme. By exercising and looking after their health, they can earn Discovery Miles to spend at a range of exciting partners.
How does it work?
Once you’ve activated the programme from your profile and given permission for your child to access it, your teen can download the Discovery app on their phone and register a Discovery profile. They can then log in and start participating in Vitality Active Rewards. They will get their own weekly fitness goals to achieve and the chance to earn Discovery Miles. They will also be encouraged to do relevant health checks. Teens can spend their Discovery Miles at all the existing Vitality Active Rewards partners as well as new partners like Steam, Cotton On, Exclusive Books and Netflix.
Vitality Active Rewards for Teens will go live in 2020, followed by Vitality Active Rewards for Kids
In 2020, children earn age-appropriate rewards for getting healthier
These new programmes directly reward kids and teens as they get healthier with relevant, age appropriate and exciting rewards. Instead of earning Vitality points, kids will now get rewarded with Discovery Miles for doing relevant health checks and participating in physical activity within the Vitality Active Rewards programme. Vitality teens will earn Discovery Miles as well as a play on the gameboard for closing their fitness ring.
From 1 January 2020, the only health activity for which kids and teens will continue to earn Vitality points is vaccines.
